Port Blair, Oct 20: A lady, resident of Guptapara was beaten up by a STS Driver by a cane at STS Bus Stand, Aberdeen Bazaar this afternoon.
As per reports, the Driver and the lady had some arguments over an issue. But when the lady used extremely vulgar words for the STS Driver he lost his cool and attacked the lady.
The lady then reported the matter to the Police, after which a team of police rushed the spot and checked the CCTV camera to identify the driver but in the mean time the driver had escaped from the spot. The Driver was later traced out by a team of PS Aberdeen.
It is learnt that an NC FIR has been registered in this regard. Eye witnesses say that the Driver was angry because according to him, the lady was frequenting the Bus Stand to meet different people, which looked objectionable to the Driver.
