Port Blair, Oct 14: In a drunken brawl inside Bamboo Bar at Bambooflat, one person was grievously injured and admitted in CHC Bambooflat this evening at 6.00 PM.
The brawl started between two groups. Police is investigating the matter. Police sources informed that a case will be registered after the injury report is received from the Medical Officer. However, three persons have been detained for enquiry.
Of late many cases have been reported due to alcohol incited incidents. The excise cases are also on increase in the area.
Humane Touch, a voluntary organization actively working against alcoholism has been raising the issue of public nuisance due to the Bar in the area. Many families are affected due to the Bar in the area.
