Port Blair, Oct 04: A team of Crime Investigating Department and Central Crime Station conducted raid at various bootlegging shops at two places i.e Aberdeen Bazaar and Nayagaon in the city and seized around 60-70 bottles of illicit IMFL.
The team has also arrested 6 persons for selling illicit IMFL.
Recently on last Sunday addressing a press conference, the Lt Governor had strictly instructed the DGP not to entertain any bootlegging shops in these islands and take all possible steps to curb the menace of alcohol.
Taking stringent action in this regard the police department has initiated this step, it seems.
