Port Blair, Sept 09: A meeting with the owners of Medical Shop of Port Blair was held in the office of Sub Divisional Police Officer (South Andaman) on 01.09.2016. Around 14 Medical Shop owners of Port Blair attended the meeting to discuss on the issue of consumption of Narcotic Drugs/tablets by the children, especially school going students. The shopkeepers were asked not to sell drugs like cough syrups and other tablets etc. to the children. They were asked to maintain proper register about the sale & stock of medicines and get it regularly inspected by concerned authorities. Further they were asked to share any information regarding anyone running a shop without license or selling/demanding for huge quantity of banned Drugs/tablets etc.
