Kishorinagar, Sept 06: The Diglipur police have arrested one person for raping a minor school girl.
As per complaint the person offered the minor girl to drop her at home and picked her up in his Four-wheeler but instead of dropping her home, he took the girl towards jungle and reportedly raped her.
The girl was later abandoned near jungle. As per sources, the matter was however informed to parents by outsiders after which an FIR was lodged at PS Kalighat and the accused was arrested by police.
The accused is reportedly working as a driver of a school trip vehicle.
The Police registered the case under POCSO Act and produced the accused before a special court at Port Blair. Further investigations are on.
