Port Blair, Aug 29: In continuation of the earlier press note dated 26 August, 2016 regarding scholarships schemes for Persons with Disabilities, the last date for applying online has been extended upto 30th September 2016 by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
These three schemes are as under (a) Pre-matric scholarships for class IX and X (b) Post-matric scholarships for Class XI to Post-graduation and (c) Scholarship for Top Class Education for Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma in 197 notified institutions.
These scholarship schemes are implemented through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) www.scholarships.gov.in launched as a part of Digital India campaign. The details about schemes are also available in the website www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in.
The students intending to avail the scheme are informed that Aadhaar No. and Aadhaar seeded Bank Account number is mandatory while applying on-line in the Portal www.scholarships.gov.in and should apply on the portal by 30th September, 2016.
