Port Blair, May 25: Mr. R Mohan, the President of A & N State BJP unit has highlighted about the pathetic condition of the farmers in these Islands in national level.
“During a session on ‘problems of Indian farmers’, organized as a part of National Executive meeting of BJP at conference hall of Yashwant Rao Chauhan hall, Mumbai, Mohan on Thursday highlighted that the recent incident when even after standing under the scorching Sun for hours they were denied a meeting with the Administrator. Mr Mohan was advised by the National President to furnish the detailed information about the submerged lands, number of affected farmers etc to be placed in the National Executive meeting on priority basis so that proper resolution can be passed,” a release from local BJP unit said here today.
According to reports, Mohan is likely to brief about other serious problems in AN Islands in the late evening session. Mohan has also requested to the National President and the Leaders of opposition LS and RS in person to initiate action on the letters sent to them on various serious issues.
