Port Blair, August 17: The District Administration after getting tremendous response from the 9 e-forms previously launched during the month of January has now added 4 new e-forms for the benefit of the general public of the islands.
Addressing a press conference at DC office today at 04:00pm, the District Commissioner, Mr Udit Prakash Rai said that the general public can avail their OBC certificate, Valuation Certificate, Dependence Certificate and family member certificate online. Nearly 6957 e-forms have been uploaded online from January, which is an achievement by the District Administration.
However the general public is demanding more CSCs in every part of the city. The media also urged the DC to direct every department for opening up a CSC at their office to which he said that the issue will be taken up shortly.
He further said that people will now have to get these certificates online and these 4 certificates will not be further issued manually.
Further addressing the media the DC said that the revenue officials are continuously conducting drive to remove encroachments. “Our team is taking encroachment very seriously and the revenue officials are conducting drive every week, the team has also removed many encroachment in the recent past,” DC said.
