Port Blair, July 29: The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains (07-11 cm) at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar islands in the next 72 hours. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest monsoon current, strong Southwesterly wind speed between 30 and 35 kmph and gusting to 45 kmph and generally rough seas likely along and off Andaman and Nicobar coast. Fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
