Port Blair, July 19: A youth aged around 19-20 years suffered major injuries, on his face & neck, in a road accident at Dollygunj near Honda Showroom this afternoon.
The reason behind the accident is not yet known. The youth was unconscious on the road and bleeding heavily.
The reason behind this accident is not yet known but people allege that the youth was trying to hit his friend on another other bike, when he lost his balance and this accident happened. The youth has been identified as Mousin Mallick, a resident Prothrapur.
Fortunately the Station Head Officer, Ograbraj, Inspector Rizwan Husain, who was on the way to his Police Station looking at the accident immediately stopped his vehicle and rushed the youth to the G B Pant hospital in his official vehicle. As per sources from the hospital, the situation of the boy is very critical.
