Port Blair, July 19: A delegation of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President, Mr Girish Arora met the Chief Secretary, Mr Anindo Mazumdar on Monday to hold discussions of various issues. The Chamber expressed gratitude to the Chief Secretary for resolving many long pending issues pertaining to issue of C-forms, bus and ferry timings and positive steps for resolving the issues pending with the Municipal Council.
The Chamber also requested the Chief Secretary for review of the Master Plan of Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island, declaration of Port Blair and other sea ports of these islands and airport as Quarantine Station, early completion of the new airport terminal building. The Chief Secretary is stated to have assured to convene a meeting of all concerned departments next week to review the position and resolve the problems being faced by the business community.
