Rangat, July 06: Nearly 50 to 60 Auto Rickshaw drivers today staged protest against a police constable of Rangat Police Station in front of the Rangat Police Station at around 11:00 am.
As per reports, yesterday night Asheesh Mallick a police constable allegedly thrashed a drunkard man. The victim was later admitted in Primary Health Center, Rangat this morning.
Alleging unkind behavior the friends and colleagues of the drunkard man resorted a protest against the police constable and demanded appropriate action against him.
It is learnt that when the matter became very serious the senior police officers intervened in the protest and finally the matter was compromised between the two at around 05:30pm this evening.
