In an endeavor to build confidence and sense of responsibilities among the children of Car Nicobar and to engage them during the school Summer Vacation, a one week long Summer Camp was organized for the age group 12 to 18 years from 20th to 25th July, 2016.
Altogether 37 school students from different villages of Car Nicobar participated in the camp. The camp was divided into indoor classes and outdoor program. In outdoor classes, students were taught about Self Defence, Disaster Management, Demonstration of Fire Safety, P.T & Parade, games and visit to Police Station.
The indoor classes were devised considering the requirement of the children which includes Carrier Guidance, Motivation, Development of Hobbies, Good Habits, Personality Development, Road Safety and importance of Traffic Rules, Traffic Offences, Good Samaritans, Rights & Privileged guaranteed under Constitution of India, Protection of Civil Right Act, SC & ST(POA) Act, Role of Police & public for the development of better society etc. Students were also been aware on online cheating, ATM Frauds, POCSO, First Aid etc. Besides, many other activities including Quiz Competition, Speech Competition, running competitions etc were also organized during the camp. The best students of indoor, outdoor and winner of other activates were also been rewarded suitably to boost their morale.
This Summer Camp was successfully organized due to the sincere efforts of S.I P.K Shivhare, S.I Silpi, S.I Iftiquar Ali Ahmed and other staff of PS Car Nicobar under the leadership of Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Car Nicobar and the guidance and support of Shri. Deepak Yadav, IPS, SP(D) Car Nicobar.
