Harinagar, June 10: The heavy rain on the night of 4th June caused flooding in many houses and widespread damages in Jaipur and other villages of Harinagar Gram Panchayat, Middle Andaman. Many houses also came under serious land sliding threat.
Following report of Revenue authority (Patwari) today Shri Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat and Shri Gobinda, Tehsilder Rangat/Mayabunder personally visited all those serious sites to understand the gravity of the threat and damages.
Assistant Commissioner and Tehsilder urged all those victim families to raise the issue before the concern Zila Parishad member, Pradhan and Adhyaksha for getting support from their fund to raise walls and etc.
The Assistant Commissioner and Tehsilder very politely convinced the victim families that they will also talk with all the agencies to take an urgent initiatives to solve the land sliding by raising retaining walls, they stated all the construction funds available to PRI for such purposes.
They said that they are always with the people for their betterment and help. They assured that the matter will be solved as early as possible in cooperation with PRI & APWD.
Villagers and victim families expressed their happiness to the Assistant Commissioner and Tehsilder for coming on the site.
