Port Blair, May 20: The Commander Coast Guard, Andaman and Nicobar Region, Inspector General Kuldip Singh Sheoran, PTM TM visited frontline station of Coast Guard at Kamorta on Thursday. The Inspector General reviewed the progress of land acquisition Chain of Static Sensor Phase II radar sites and emphasized to fast track the process in the interest of improving the security of Nicobar group of Islands. He also stressed the local Station Commander for early acquisition of land for creation of infrastructure for basing of ships in Kamorta to enhance maritime surveillance and safety & security of fishermen around Nicobar group of Islands.
