Port Blair, May 12: Andaman Cobra, which is said to be ten times more poisonous than King Cobra Snake, was caught from a house situated at Calicut, Pema Tikry this morning by a team of Forest Department.
As per details, the snake was 6 feet long and the weighed 6 kg.
According to the reports, the residents of the house immediately informed the snake squad of Forest Department when they saw the snake.
On Information, Mr Manjit Singh, the Deputy Ranger and Mr Sulaiman of Snake Squad reached the spot and caught the dangerous snake.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr Manjit said that Andaman Cobra snake is found very rarely compared to other King Cobra Snakes and are ten times more poisonous than King Cobra Snakes.
Dozens of King Cobra Snakes has been rescued by the snake squad in the last two months and these snakes were later released in the forest which is to be appreciated.
Mr Manjit also requested the public, that on sighting these snakes they should keep a watch and maintain distance from these snakes and inform the snake squad immediately on 03192245229.
