Billygorund, May 12: Revenue Court was held at Basantipur Gram Panchayat in Middle Andaman under the chairmanship of Shri Rajesh Chaudhary, Assistant Commissioner cum Sub Divisional Magistrate Rangat and Shri Suresh Kumar, Executive Magistrate, Mayabunder, recently.
More than 100 complaints were registered during the camp and were solved on the spot with proper judicial law and order.
The villagers also complained about the illegal encroaching of land by some of the residents. The Assistant Commissioner ordered the Patwari and Tehsildar of the region to look into the matter and to stop this illegal encroaching.
On talking with Andaman Sheekha, the villagers and PRI members have expressed their happiness on the set up of court and has requested for such camps more frequently.
