Port Blair, May 6: The accused involved in a theft case registered at PS Aberdeen, P. Thiru Murugan (32) R/o Shore Point, Bambooflat was arrested on May 4 by the Special Team of South Andaman District and I.O. of the case. The stolen item a Samsung Smart Phone has been recovered. Further investigation of the accused is on in Police remand for recovery of other articles reportedly stolen alongwith the mobile.
The theft took place in a function at the Hall of ALHW near Fisheries Jetty, Port Blair on May 1 at 10 pm but was not reported immediately to Police. The complainant himself made a search for his stolen things, when he did not find then he reported the matter at PS Aberdeen, upon which the above police team swung into action promptly and nabbed the culprit.
