Port Blair, Apr 26: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands expressed sincere gratitude to the Director of Shipping Services for providing services of bigger vessels to Port Blair from Campbell Bay and Carnicobar on 01st May, 2016 and from Hutbay, Little Andaman & Diglipur on 30th April, 2016 to facilitate timely journey of teachers and other Govt. servants from outstations/other islands on commencement of Summer Vacation.
As per the schedule released by the Directorate of Shipping Services MV Swaraj Dweep will sail from Campbell Bay and MV Chowra from Car Nicobar to Port Blair on 01st May, 2016 whereas MV Campbell Bay is scheduled to sail from Hutbay to Port Blair and a speed boat to sail from Diglipur to Port Blair on 30th April, 2016 evening.
The Secretary-cum-Director (Transport) has also been requested by this Association to provide additional bus services to Port Blair from Diglipur, Mayabunder, Billiground, Rangat & Kadamtala on 1st and 2nd May and from Baratang on 30th April afternoon and 1st May, to which confirmation is yet to be received.
