Port Blair, Apr 26: A unique buyer seller meet called “ANDAMAN BAZAAR” is starting today at ITF Ground (i.e., 27th from 3:00 PM onwards) and shall remain open till 30th April, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This is being organized by Industries Department, Andaman & Nicobar Administration in association with NABARD. Other Collaborating partners are Agriculture, Art & Culture, Tourism and Andaman Nicobar Islands State Co-operative Bank Ltd.
This unique “ANDAMAN BAZAAR”, will see the sale of Vegetables, Food Products, Handicrafts directly by producers and artisans. Besides Cultural shows will also be organized at the venue on daily basis.
The Industries, NABARD, Social Welfare, DIC, Khadi & Village Industries Board would be setting up Information and Facilitation desks for dissemination of information on schemes related with their Department namely Skill Development, Financial Assistance, Marketing Facilities and facilities available for farmers, including schemes of NABARD. ICDS shall also be putting up food and nutrition related information cum demonstration.
Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands shall be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Ceremony being organized from 1800 hrs to 1900 hrs and would interact with the members of SHGs, Artisans & Farmers.
