Port Blair, Apr 26: Sudhir Biswas, Ex-Up- Adhyaksh, along with a delegation of students council namely Prodip Chakraborty (president), Mrinal Chandra Halder (Secretary) and others of JNRM, Port Blair met with the Chief Secretary Shri Anindo Mazumder at Secretariat on dated 25th April 2016 and raised various welfare issues like introduction of History and Economics PG courses from next academic session at JNRM; Re-starting BA (music); Establishment of ATM at JNRM Port Blair shortly; Introduction the CSIR (UGC, NET) centre for the Science faculty/stream at JNRM; Introduction of B.Ed for Bangli in TGCE College, Port Blair from coming academic session 2016 -2017 which was already approved by the A&N administration vide letter No. 1-619/2000-D-IV dated 27.08.2012.
The Chief Secretary, A&N Islands, reportedly gave a patience hearing and assured to look into these matters.
