Port Blair, Apr 23: The traffic unit of Andaman Nicobar police will soon be installing nine LED traffic lights one each at Girls’ School Junction and PWD Crossing.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha the Deputy Superintendent of police of traffic unit Mr Umer said that in the first phase, an LED traffic signal light has been installed at Hyatt Singh Junction, Dairy Farm, for which the traffic department has received very good reviews.
He said that this has been done with the help of BRAIT and the traffic unit has plans to install seven such LED traffic lights at various junctions of Port Blair city. “Next two such LED traffic lights will be installed at Girls’ School and PWD crossing near Raj Niwas,” he said.
