Port Blair, Apr 14: Nearly two dozen people today reached SP Office of South Andaman District and demanded further probe in UP Basti Murder Case. Although Andaman and Nicobar Police has claimed to solve the UP Basti Murder case of Sippighat but residents of the area are now demanding further probe as many believe that the accused lady, Meera Devi, can’t commit the crime, without anyone’s help.
Following this, it has been learnt that the husband of the accused lady’s husband Mr. Biranchee Pal Kusha was called in PS Humphery Gunj for questioning.
Villagers told Andaman Sheekha that the family of the victim and the accused used to have quarrels regularly on issues like land and stray livestock.
