Dilglipur, Mar 23: Huge mound of garbage dumped in front of Community Health Centre at Diglipur since one week is giving horrible time to patients and visitors of the hospital. According to details more than thousand people who visit the hospital daily and the R K Gram villagers are force to bear this nose-busting smell 24X7.
Shopkeepers of the area have no alternate except to dump the garbage in that dustbin. The local residents also collect and dump their house garbage in that place. The papers and polythene covers keep flying in surrounding areas and also Kalpong River. Few more dustbins are placed in Doctors’ colony which are also in same condition, overflowing with garbage.
The garbage disposal is to be done by the R K Gram Panchayat but residents allege that when they approach to the Pradhan, he said “I know when to dispose the garbage, don’t suggest me.”
The Administration claiming tall about Swatch Bharat Abhiyans and this type of negligence by the R K Gram Panchayat is condemnable. If the garbage is not collected on daily basis then what is the use of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.
