Port Blair, Mar 21: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank has organised a Trainers’ Training Programme in collaboration with NABARD on Monday at Hotel Sun Sea Resort, Middle Point. Mr K Murugan, Managing Director (i/c), ANSCB was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr D Murali Mohan, DGM, NABARD, Mr Anjan Sengupta, DGM (Bkg), ANSCB and Smt. Chandrika Acharya, Manager, NABARD were also present on the occasion. Altogether, 30 participants attended the orientation programme.
In his address, Mr K Murugan has urged all Branch Managers and staff members present on the occasion to avail the benefits from the training programme. He further stated that Knowledge is Power only when it is executed at the ground level for financial literacy. He also urged the bank officials to get all their doubts clarified from the experts and spread financial awareness among the rural masses. Mr D Murali Mohan, DGM, NABARD stressed upon the initiatives undertaken by the bank in promoting the various Govt. Schemes to the remotest corner of these Island.
Welcoming the gathering, Mr Anjan Sengupta, highlighted the need for conducting such trainings and highlighted various initiatives of the bank in collaboration with NABARD.
