Rangat, Mar 20: The anniversary of Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, North & Middle Andaman, Rangat was celebrated on 19.03.2016 at the District Branch Office, Rampur, Rangat. The programme was started with the cake cutting by the Chief Guest Shri. P.L.Masilamani, Executive Engineer, CD-I, APWD,Rangat.
He highlighted the importance of disaster management and the role of Red Cross Society in it. Shri. P.K.Abdul Arif, SHO Police Station Rangat, Middle Andaman was also present in the programme and he also threw some light on the disaster management. Smti. Geeta Devi, DM, Indian Red Cross Society appreciated the work done by the FMR and other members of Indian Red Cross Society, North & Middle Andaman, Rangat.
She also highlighted that the Indian Red Cross Society also plays its role in Family News Service.Shri. Natrajan, GTT, Govt. Secondary School Shivapuram also took part in the programme and delivered speech on the role of Indian Red Cross Society and its duties and responsibilities towards the society.
The life membership certificate were also awarded to the members of Indian Red Cross Society by the chief guest and the SHO.The programme was ended with the vote of thanks by Shri. Girish Kumar,FMR , District Branch, North & Middle Andaman, Rangat.
