Port Blair, Mar 17: The Department of Fisheries has a proposal to put on road “Mobile Sea Food Restaurant” to be operated at selected points within the Municipal Limits of Port Blair, to sell cooked Sea Food Items to popularize sea food among locals and tourists. Interested women Self Help Groups may submit their applications with credentials/experience in specified application form which may be collected from the Technical Cell of the Directorate of Fisheries.
The Department shall arrange food truck with driver, chairs, folding tables, gas stove with commercial LPG Connection, utensils/cooking vessels, deep freezer (400 lt. capacity), microwave oven, mixer grinder and such other items. The fuel of food truck, wear and tear shall have to be borne by the concerned Self Help Group.
If required, selection of Women Self Help Groups shall be done based on a competition to be held at a designated place to cook the designated food items before a Selection Committee. The selected Self Help Groups shall have to sign an agreement with the Department of Fisheries which would inter alia have the charges to be levied for the above items on per month basis. The interested Self Help Groups may submit their application on or before 31.03.2016.
