Port Blair, Mar 16: National Youth Corps, a scheme of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, seeks young person to help channelize their energies and capabilities towards nation building activities by organizing them into volunteers groups and spearhead campaigns/ awareness programme about health, literacy, sanitation, gender and other social issues and may also be called upon to assist the administration in emergency or implementation of various programmes in Nehru Yuva Kendra for 2016-17.
In this connection, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair invites applications apply through online only visiting website www.nyks.org by March 28, 2016. The eligibility criteria should be at least class X Pass, age limit between 18 and 25 as on 1st April, 2016 and regular students are not eligible for applying for NYC volunteership. This is neither a paid employment nor confers any legal right on the volunteer to claim employment with the government. Only honorarium of Rs. 2500/- per month will be paid till tenure.
