Port Blair, Feb 19: to mark the 10th Techno Sports Feast – Pravah 2016 to be held on Feb 20, 2016, the Chief Secretary, Mr Anand Prakash released the 9th compendium of sports persons, who brought laurels to these islands, compiled by DBRAIT on Friday. The Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Mr Raajiv Yaduvanshi, Secretary, Education (i/c), Smt Menaka, Principal, DBRAIT, Dt Utpal Sharma and Director, Sports, Mr Ingit Pratap Singh were present on the occasion.
Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology has been organising sports festivals every year covering atleast 23 track and field events to acknowledge the contribution of sports legends and young sports talents of these islands. The latest edition of the Compendium contains updated information about the young medallions of these islands from remote pockets. It also highlights and updates the records set the institute’s students since 207, says the Editor.
