Port Blair, Feb 17: A two days short course on “Community Policing” held at Police Training School, A&N Police on 16th & 17th February, 2016 for in-service police personnel to make them aware regarding all aspects of community policing. Topics like objectives, benefits & implementation of community policing, duties & responsibilities of community policing officer, community policing projects in the other states of India were included in the course curriculum. Shri K. Venkatesan, guest faculty, Asst. Professor of JNRM, Port Blair and well experienced faculty members of A&N Police have delivered impressive and informative lectures, which were very effective and valued by the participants. The participants interacted and enriched themselves for initiating steps forward towards the community policing. Altogether 39 police personnel of different ranks had participated in the course.
