Port Blair, February 10: The Humphery Gunj Police has fastened up the process to search for the missing fisherman Mr Vanka Jagganathan, who went missing from a fishing dinghy on Sunday night.
According to reports, the police has circulated the message in all the police stations in the islands and has also asked the fishermen of the area to keep a watch on the sea.
It is also learnt that the Police Marine Force has also got the task to search for the missing fisherman Mr Vanka Jagganathan.
Mr Vanka Jagganathan is missing from Sunday 08:00pm. Other five fishermen went for fishing with him informed the family members of Mr Vanka Jaganathan that while pulling Shark near Tarmugli Island the Shark pulled back the line because of which he fell into the sea, from when Mr Vanka Jaganathan is missing.
However, people are still having doubts that why the other fisherman with him didn’t informed the matter when the incident happened.
Andaman Sheekha has also learnt that any registered Dinghy should intimate the Fisheries Department about the time of starting, number of fishermen in the dinghy going for fishing and the place where they are going for fishing but in this case the Fishermen didn’t informed the authorities before leaving for Fishing.
However Andaman Sheekha also learnt that most of the Fishing Dinghy leave for fishing without intimating the Fisheries Department authorities while the Fisheries Department never bothers to take any action against them.
