Billyground, May 07: The tiring process of fixing High Security Number Plates (HSNP) is giving nightmares to hundreds of residents living in Betapur and Badamnallah areas. According to information received here for fixing HSNP, people from these areas have to go to Rangat atleast four to five times and on the day of fixing the number plates they are forced to stay at Rangat atleast till evening 6.00 PM to 7.00 PM. This tiring process has upset people of these two areas who now demand to shift the HSNP centre for these two villages at Billyground, which is close to their areas.
“Either make the process of fixing HSNP easy for us or shift the centre at Billyground. For one number plate we have to waste four to five working days, that too without any reason,” said a villager of Betapur. The PRI members of these two areas are now planning to take up this matter with the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands as they allege that at ground level no one listen to their problems.
