Port Blair, Feb 04: On 04.02.2016, an awareness programme on Cyber Crime, Juvenile Justice Act 2000, POCSO Act 2012 and Drug Addiction was conducted at Govt. Senior Secondary School Kadamtala and Govt. Secondary School Uttara under the chairmanship of Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, Dy.SP Rangat. Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, SI B.Someshwar Rao, SHO PS Kadamtala, SI Mariam of PS Rangat and SI Nixon Isaac of PS Kadamtala delivered lectures on Cyber Crime, Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act and Drug Addiction respectively in each school.
The main objective of this programme was to aware students regarding present day’s crimes. Many students and teachers took interest in this awareness programme and cleared their doubts on the above said topics. The interaction with the students proved to be an icebreaking session which helps the students to interact freely with the Police personnel. The whole awareness programme was conducted under the supervision of Shri Parvinder Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District.
