Mayabunder, Feb 02: It was a joyous occasion to all the Indian Coast Guard personnel of Mayabunder station, when they joined the entire country to celebrate their glorious 40th Raising Day on Monday 1st February 2016. To mark this memorable event a grand reception was hosted by the ICGS, Mayabunder in their beautifully decorated station premises at Mayabunder. The function was graced by Sri.A.Gopikrishna, IAS, the Dy. Commissioner, N&M District as the Chief Guest, in the presence of the Suptd. Of Police(N&MA), DFO, Mayabunder, Principal, MG Govt. College, Mayabunder, Up-Adhyaksh, N&M Andaman, PRI Members, senior officers of the N&M District Administration and many prominent citizens of the area.
The well organized function began with the warmest welcome address by the Station Commander of ICGS, Mayabunder. This was followed by cake cutting ceremony by the chief guest and other dignitaries on the stage to mark this important event. To make this function more memorable the students of MGG College, Mayabunder presented a very colourful and impressive, patriotic dances and songs. The programme concluded with the hosting of a high tea!!!
