On 39th anniversary of Indian Coast Guard, Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 10, Campbell Bay organized a Cross Country Championship for the residents of Campbell Bay on 31 Jan 2016. The championship was conducted in five categories veterans, ladies, girls, boys and men. The cross country run commenced from mini stadium, Campbell Bay at 1600 hrs. All the participants showed high enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the race. It is the first time at Campbell Bay that veterans, ladies and girls have participated in an athletic event in such a large number. The winners were suitably rewarded. The race also acted as a platform to motivate residents to inculcate running/walking as a part of day-to-day activity to maintain a healthy body and mind, said PRO CG RHQ (A&N).
