Rangat, Feb 01: 28th year Kabbadi Tournament was conducted by Bharati Youth Welfare Association, Rangat on 31.01.2016 at Rangat to mark Republic day celebrations. 13 teams from South, North and Middle Andaman districts teams participated in this tournament.
The tournament was inaugurated by Miss. Prabhawati Biswas, Adhyaksha, North and Middle Andaman in the presence of Shri. P K Abdul Arif, SHO Rangat.
Final match was played in between Muniyandi travels Port Blair verses BYA, Rangat team. In this tuff completion finally Muniyandi travels Port Blair won first cash prize and runner up cash prize won by the BYA team Rangat.
In this occasion Best team award was bagged by Reshma brothers team- Mayabunder, Best Ridder award given to MrMahendran- Mayabunder Best catcher award won by Mr. A Senthil Kuamr BYA team- Rangat and Man of the series was given to Mr. Kartick Muniyandi travels Port Blair.
Closing ceremony was organised at the play ground in the evening and this closing ceremony was chaired by Shri. Ajay Kumar Rai, Dy.SP Rangat. Vote of thanks was proposed by the BYA team.

Billyground, Feb 01: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nimbudera(ICAR-CIARI) is organizing Kishan Sammelan on 4th Feb.1016 at Vegetable market. Nimbudera, N & M Andaman from 9.30 AM. This programme has been arranged to disseminate technologies, information facilities available with KVK and developments of Administration to framers for their betterment.
On the occasion, the M.P. A & N Islands and Adhyaksha Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman has agreed to be the Chief Guest and guest of honour, respectively. Dr. S.Dam Roy, Director ICAR-CIARI and distinguished guest from line departments (Agriculture, A.H.&V.S., Fisherish, Forest), NGO’s, Pradhan and PRI members has also consented to participate in the programme. It is expecting that more than more than 250 farmers and farmwomen, Self Helf groups and youths will attend the programme.
