Port Blair, Jan 28: As part of its endeavour to extend health care services to remote populace, the Andaman and Nicobar Command will conduct the seventh multi-specialty health camp at Kamorta Island on Jan 29, 2016. The camp is being conducted under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief, A & N Command, Vice Admiral PK Chatterjee.
The health cards issued to children attending the camp will be digitised so that a data base on the health status of the children on the islands is available. A Dermatologist from Command Hospital Kolkata, a Psychiatrist from Base Hospital Tezpur, and an Ophthalmologist, a paediatrician two Medical Officers and Paramedical staff from INHS Dhanvantari, will participate in the health camp. An ENT specialist from GB pant will also participate in this camp. The Psychiatrist would also conduct a lecture on ‘Management of Adolescent Stress’ for school children at Kamorta.
In addition, a health camp will also be conducted at Kakana village in Kamorta Island on the same day.
