Port Blair, Jan 21: The National Voters’ Day will be observed in the Islands on Jan 25, 2016 along with the rest of the country. As per programme, debates, declamations, mock polls, drawing and quiz competitions are to be organised in educational institutions either on the day or during the run-up to the observance of the day to infuse democratic values among the students who are future electors of the country.
Besides, a pledge will be administered in the forenoon to the officers and staff in offices and departments of A&N Administration as well as in educational institutions to promote democratic electoral participation.
