Port Blair, Jan 18: Acting on a tip off on gambling near Municipal Well, Mohanpura, the District Special Team raided the place and apprehended eleven persons namely Deepak Lall (33) yrs, R/o Mohanpura, G. Shankar (20) yrs, R/o Mohanpura, B.Ramlu (30) yrs, R/o Dignabad, S. Naidu (25) yrs R/o Sisty Nagar, G. Durga Prasad (30) yrs R/o Aberdeen Bazaar, Educandlu (40) yrs R/o Aberdeen Bazaar, R. Demdu (25) yrs R/o Aberdeen Bazaar, M. Srinu (35) yrs R/o Mohanpura, B. Appa Rao (43) yrs R/o Round Basti, G. Somnaidu R/o Round Basti and Nari Babu (30) yrs R/o Round Basti and recovered Rs. 5930/- cash including board money Rs.3000/- and other incriminating articles.
All of them were booked under A & N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1956 at PS Aberdeen.
