Port Blair, Jan 13: Govt of India has decided to launch the National Immunization Day (NID) rounds of Pulse Polio Immunization programme in A&N Islands on 17th January 2016 and 21st February 2016.
On this day, children in the age group of 0-5 years will be administered Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) at the PPI centres to be followed by house to house visit by the staff of Directorate of Health Services on 02 consecutive day Mop up rounds after the NIDs to ensure vaccination to the missed out children, if any.
