Port Blair, Nov 27: The Andaman and Nicobar Police in association with Directorate of Health Services and Education Department organized a Healthy Baby Contest 2015 exclusively for the wards of the Police personnel to inculcate health and nutrition habits for the children at an early age for healthy living & good lifestyle. Mr Rajesh Malik, Director General of Police, A&N Islands was the chief guest of the function, which was also attended by DIGP, SPs and other senior officers of A&N Police.
In his address, the DGP appreciated the parents whose wards participated in the contest and motivated them to maintain healthy nutrition habits of their babies. Smt Urvija Goel, Superintendent of Police (AP) proposed the vote of thanks.
The contest was in three different categories; upto 6 months (1st category), 6 to 12 months (2nd category) and 12 to 24 months (3rd category). Altogether, 49 babies participated in the contest. In the first category, R Ritiksha, D/o Mr M Rajam SV Kanishka, D/o Mr Sasi Kumar and Aaliyah Habib, D/o Mr Habeebulla bagged the first three prizes respectively. In the second category, Raman Deep Kaur, D/o Mr Kuldip Singh, Ayansh Kerketta, S/p Mr Jai Prakash Kerketta and U Karunakaran, S/o Mr A Udaya Kumar secured the first, second and third prizes respectively. In the third category, Ayush Sen, S/o of Mr Chanden Sen, Harshit Soreng, S/o Mr Dilip Sorent and Shaban Mustafa, S/o Mohd. Mustafa clinched the first, second and third positions respectively.
