Port Blair, Nov 26: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Island will observe 27th November,2015 as Black Day to protest against the retrograde recommendations of the 7th CPC as per the call of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers and National Joint Council of Action, New Delhi.
The National Joint Council of Action, a joint platform of Federations of Railway, Defence and Confederation is demanding rejection of retrograde recommendations like abolishing of 52 allowances, Reduction in all other allowances, Compulsory retirement and withholding promotion, MACP and annual increment on non-fulfilling required bench mark grading which is proposed to be “Very Good” as against the “Good” at present.
The demand also include improvement in fitment formula of 2.57 time to 3.7 times, Minimum wage from Rs. 18000 to 26000/-, Promotion/MACP from 3 to 5, Annual increment from 3% to 5%, Pay of categories like LGC, HGC and all other selected categories.
As part of the programme, the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is organizing Evening Dharna on 27th November, 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Tiranga Park, Port Blair.
