Port Blair, Nov 26: The prize distribution ceremony for the various competitions conducted by the Directorate of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs during the Hindi fortnight was held in the conference hall of Civil Supply Department. Mr Satya Pal Kaloria, Deputy Director (CS&CA) was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Controller (Legal Metrology) was special invitee and Mr K G Samaddar, Assistant Director (Admn.) presided over the function. The function was coordinated by Mr Ashwini Sharma, Hindi Translator, Dte. of Civil Supplies.
Cash awards with certificate were awarded to the winners of various competitions organized during this fortnight. Addressing on this occasion, the chief guest said that Hindi is Official Language and it can be easily used in the official works and he also urged for maximum usage of Hindi Language in the Official works
In the Noting and Drafting, Smt Vijay Veni bagged first position and Smt D. Swarna Latha & Smt Zura Khan bagged Second position and Smt Sarojini Topno & Shashi Kala Biswas bagged third position. Smt S. Samanti, Smt S. Rama Laxmi and Smt D. Swarna Latha bagged first three positions respectively in the Hindi Typing competition. And in other Group for Letter writing Kumari K. Srimathi bagged first position and Smt Shiraz Baby & Shri Sandesh Kumar bagged second and Smt K. Rajeshwari and Smt Shahina Begum bagged third position respectively. Smt Shiraz Baby, Smt Shahina Begum and Kumari K. Srimathi bagged first three positions in Hindi Computer Typing competition respectively. Except all above prize consolidation prize were also given for doing better work in Hindi. The workshop ended with the vote of thanks by Shri Ashwini Sharma, Hindi Translator, Dte. of CS&CA.
