Port Blair, Nov 22: The Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association (CGWWA) under the guidance of Smt Dorothy, President Tatrakshika, A & N Islands organized a picnic for the wards of Coast Guard fraternity to celebrate Children’s Day on Sunday. The picnic was organized at the Science Centre in which about 130 children participated along with the CGWWA committee members.
A magic show and 3D show was also arranged for the children by Smt Debashish Paul, Education in-charge at service centre. Besides, various outdoor games and group task activities for children were also conducted by the CGWWA members which received an enthusiastic participation from all the children.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and speech by Smt Dorothy to all children. The children were urged to imbibe moral values to become responsible citizen of the country.
