Port Blair, Nov 20: As a part of social activity a total of 65 NCC cadets, ANOs and PI staff of 1 A&N (I) Inf Coy NCC and 1 AN Navel Unit NCC visited Old-age home and Orphanage at Ferrargunj on 10th Nov. 15.
The cadets interacted with inmates of the Vridh Ashram and carried out area cleanliness. On the occasion a small cultural programmed was also organized by the cadets for the inmates of Old-age home and the Orphanage.
The gesture shown by the cadets was appreciated by on and all. In the end sweets and gifts were distributed to the children of the Orphanage. The Commanding Officers of both the units & CDPO A&N Administration were also present on the occasion.
The social activity was undertaken to create awareness among the NCC Cadets of their obligation towards the elderly and the society so as to make them better citizen of country.
