It has been reported that two pregnant women who were denied entry inside inside an inter-islands passenger vessel, as reported in Andaman Sheekha Issue dated, 20.11.2015, did not die.
In fact, the pregnant women travelled by road to Port Blair for availing specialized treatment at GB Pant Hospital after being referred from CHC Rangat. The women faced extreme hardships during their journey through the jarring ATR road. The inadvertent mention of the death of the women is deeply regretted.
