Port Blair, Nov 18: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray has requested the DGP, A&N Islands to intervene in the matter to make necessary immediate arrangements for implementation of the order of the MHA by engaging experts persons as a special case for extending the benefits to the regular Home Guards of A&N Islands prior to enforcement of 7th CPC.
In a press release from MP office today, it is mentioned that in pursuant to the efforts of Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament, the MHA, GoI, New Delhi had accorded the sanction for extending the service benefits to the Regular Home Guards of A&N Islands such as Upgradation of Grade Pay, grant of ACP/MACP, HRA etc.
During MP’s recent tour to North & Middle Andaman, larger number of Regular Home Guards interacted and reported that despite receipt of orders from the MHA, the aforesaid admissible service benefits (except Grade Pay) have not been extended to them till date.
“It was further informed that, if the direction of the Ministry is not implemented within a month or two, then there would be difficulties for implementing the recommendation of 7th CPC which is likely to be enforced from 01.01.2016,” the release added.
