Port Blair, Nov 13: The Chairperson, Municipal Council Smt. Sheela Singh along with Senior Vice Chairperson Smti S.Usha, Junior Vice Chairperson, Mr SNN Gregory, Mr Indra Pal Singh, Chairperson Finance and Taxation Sub Committee, Smt Vinita Malhotra, Chairperson Public Health Sanitation Sub Committee and Secretary, PBMC meet the Chief Secretary on Friday. The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration congratulated them for assuming office.
The Chairperson highlighted about various issues particularly one time regularization of building violation and issue of CRZ clearance in Goodwill Estate area. The delegation also briefed about the additional fund requirement in the extended Municipal area. They highlighted the issues of the pending Municipal arrears by the government departments. The Chief Secretary assured full cooperation to the Port Blair Municipal Council for early redressal of the issues.
