Port Blair, Nov 01: A special meeting of Zilla Parishad South Andaman under the Chairmanship of Adhyaksha was held in the Conference Hall of Zilla Parishad at 11.30 AM on 30th October,2015 for constituting Standing Committees, nomination of Zilla Parishad Members in District Planning Committee, South Andaman, Administrator’s Advisory Council and Governing Body of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya.
During the meeting the Adhyaksha requested the members to identify the plan proposals of line departments pertaining to their jurisdiction for inclusion in the proposed draft Annual Plan 2016-17 and submit the same within a week for further necessary action.
The meeting was attended by the Member of Parliament, A & N Islands, Up-Adhyaksh, ZP, SA, Chief Executive Officer, ZP, SA, Zilla Parishad Members, Pramukhs and other Officers of Zilla Parishad South Andaman.
The Standing Committees for Finance Taxation and Accounts with Shri.M.K.Sundaram, ZPM Shorepoint Constituency as Chairperson, Public Health and Sanitation with Mrs.Baby Fareeda, ZPM Beodnabad Constituency as Chairperson, Works and Development with Shri.Jaydeep Kumar Dey, ZPM Bambooflat Constituency as Chairperson, Water Supply and Works with Shri. Raj Govind, ZPM Sippighat Constituency as Chairperson and Education and Social Justice with Mrs. Abala Samaddar, ZPM Vijay Nagar, Havelock Constituency as Chairperson including four other members in each committee were formed according to A & N Islands (Panchayati Raj Institutions) (Constitution of Committees) Rules,2005.
Shri. Abdul Bashir, Bindraban Constituency was nominated as member of Administrator’s Advisory Council. Shri.Gadhadar Mazumdar, ZPM Chouldari Constituency, Shri M.K.Sundaram, ZPM, Shore Point and Bageswari, ZPM, Ferrargunj constituency were nominated as members of the Governing Body of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya. Further it was decided to nominate all the Zilla Parishad Members to District Planning Committee, South Andaman.
Meeting ended with the vote of thanks to the Chair.
