Diglipur, Oct 29: The Night Service bus of Geetanjali Travels met with an accident yesterday night at Diglipur region.
According to reports the bus started from Aerial Bay area of Diglipur at about 9.30 pm so that it could reach at Diglipur Bazaar by 10 pm for onwards Journey.
But on its way it hit a tree at Cherian Nallah turning of Keralapuram Village.
The driver of the bus, Mr. Sashi sustained some injuries and was later admitted at CHC Diglipur. Luckily no passenger suffered any injuries.
The passengers, who were waiting for the bus at Diglipur Bazaar, got stranded as the other night bus of SS Transport was already full.
Atlast many the passengers of Geetanjali Travels had to cancel their journey while a few got into SS Transport Bus and managed their journey anyhow.
This was the second accident of Geetanjali Travel’s Bus within this one month.
The villagers of Keralapuram complained that although Administration is aware that the turning at Cherian Nallah area is an accident prone area still no preventive measures have been taken yet to install signboards or construct speed breaker in the area.
Few years ago 3-4 people died at turning at Cherian Nallah while minor accidents are routine matter at the area.
